WHERE: Elephant Hill, Aberdare Ranges
Elephant Hill on the southern end of the Aberdare Ranges, is about 90km north of Nairobi, and perfect for a day hike. The Aberdare Ranges are a water catchment area, feeding two of the largest dams supplying over 95% of Nairobi’s water needs, i.e. Ndakaini Dam in the Thika region and Sasumua Dam near Njabini town

ATTRACTIONS:
- Mountain vegetation i.e forest plantations , bamboo forest ,alpine and moorland ,summit desert .
- Best views of Great rift valley ,..lake Naivasha, Longonot Ndakaini dam ,sasumua dam ,etc
- Wildlife expect to see…elephants/tracks. antelopes, Columbus monkeys etc etc
- Bird watching …over 250 species birds.
