The Amps Side
Battle of the Bands & EDM Deejaying
The Amps side derived from 'amplified sound’ is basically a talent search competition section targeting the youth aged between 12-25 yrs who compete for a myriad of prizes.

This particular section of the event involves registered bands competing for the ultimate grand prize of Ksh. 10,000 having thoroughly prepared to “wow” the crowd. During past events, competition has been very stiff with teenagers looking forward to the event for a chance to showcase their talent while the spectators have a great time enjoying the music.

Students from the following school have continuously registered in past events, bringing their fans along; French School, Hillcrest High School, Peponi High School, Nairobi Academy, Brookhouse School, Braeside, Rusinga, Rossyline, Kenton College, Banda School, St. Christophers, West Nairobi School, International School of Kenya and Brookhouse. There will also be several celebrity guest bands invited to the show to keep the crowd alive and fun filled.

This event provides an ideal platform aimed at tapping, nurturing and exposing students hidden talents from the grassroots level with the hope of future personal development as well as promoting social cohesion. Indeed the event proves to be invaluable as it boosts self confidence in the teens and youth.

The Ramps section targets crowd ranging from 4 years onwards participating in exciting sports and games with the main event of the day being skating and cycling.

There are a variety of games to keep the young ones busy. These range from skyrunners, star jump, water balls, waterslides, quad bikes, pogosticks, roller skates, BMX stunt bikes, skateboards, ripstiks, heelys, mini electric and non electric scooters.

The main intention here is to help the young ones bond and create new friendships. However, the games eventually culminate to various competitions. Prizes, certificates and trophies are awarded to the winners after the competitions. The young ones get to enjoy unlimited fun as they don’t run out of exciting stuff to engage in. There are also real size cartoon character mascots, clowns and face painters to add to the fun.

NB: The proceeds go towards helping Ski-Iceskate Africa Foundation sustain its charitable project dubbed 'Operation Fun Christmas’. This noble project helps kids from needy children’s homes get access to the new-generation fun activities.
