Oh yea, Christmas comes early at Karura forest in the form of a craft festival. And seeing as we are still in Movember, it's befitting to call it Bizarre Bazaar.... plus it rhymes. If you have children that you need to keep busy and entertained, this is just the place for you :-)

POMP AND SPLENDOUR AS GOR MAHIA CLINCHES KPL CUP...

After a long wait of 18 years, Gor Mahia Football Club finally claimed the Kenya Premier League Cup in front of thousands of fans who were over the top with excitement.

This being a moment they have been waiting for for a long time they were fairly certain they would take the trophy over the last few weeks. This led to the coining of the now famous phrase 'Giniwasekao' which is a Dholuo word meaning 'We already have it'.

The day finally arrived and true to the phrase, Gor Mahia were crowned the champions of the League amid pomp and splendour. The team which is well known for their swagger lived up to their reputation. Complete with flashy Limos, suits and women they did not disappoint! Check out some of the photos below...











WORDCAMP KENYA 2013

The biggest WordPress Event that is Wordcamp Kenya, is here with less than 5 days to go. Themed 'Proudly Kenyan' it will be a celebration of 50 years of Kenya’s Independence and 10 years of WordPress!

WordCamp Kenya is a conference about the world’s most popular blogging software WordPress and it offers a platform for Developers, designers and users to participate in talks and workshops related to WordPress and to publishing on the web, and to network. Since 2011, WordCamp Kenya has become the official getaway for the bloggers and developers and they come back equipped with something they did not have before. It is always a great learning experience.

As usual, we travel in a group from Nairobi on Saturday morning, start the 2 day conference and adventure at 12pm on Saturday. The Saturday party begins with a sponsor cocktail at 8pm, Bonfire dinner at 9:30pm and the DJ takes us through the rest of the night. Sunday conference begins at 10am to 4pm and we head back to the city!

The Fashion for Peace weekend is a follow up from the highly successful FAFA INSIGHT show held for emerging designers and the Business of Fashion workshops held earlier in the year.

Tickets for the evening are priced at Ksh 6000 and 8000 (front row seating) and will include a menu by Sarova and welcome drink by Jameson. It will also include entry to the afterparty and access to the events on Sunday 3rd November.
