OLX SoMA AWARDS

The 3rd Annual OLX SoMA AWARDS is what is happening.

SOMA Awards is an annual event that is geared towards identifying those who use Social Media to positively impact the society. It brings together different social media enthusiasts and organisations to celebrate the tremendous contribution brought about by Social Media.

For the third time running SOMA Awards has been supported by OLX as the Title sponsor. The awards have continued to impact individuals and organizations. The Third Annual OLX SOMA Awards will be guided by the theme “Social Media for Economic Empowerment.”

SOMA team has also introduced new platforms designed to engage different groups in the market for a better experience.

SAFARICOM 7s 2015

It's that time of the year again! Just the title elicits some typa feeling, doesn't it?? Oh the hype and the fun of it all....

Safaricom Sevens (Rugby) is back to attract rugby followers from across the globe... and the rest of us of course, *whispering* 'the cheerleaders'. That's where all the fun is anyway, isn't it? :-)

So, just to keep you updated, the main action is scheduled to take place this weekend. When and where you ask? Follow through...

WHERE: Kasarani a.k.a Safaricom Stadium

Since the event was born, it has attracted world-class teams who have bestowed us with plenty of action and excitement. Around sixteen teams from different parts of the world usually participate in this tournament which is run by the Kenya Rugby Football Union.

This year the star as well as other performing teams consist of England Saxons, Italy, Spain, Brazil ,which are among the 16 teams confirmed. 

By all means, this is soooo worth attending! Come watch some 'rudge' and have yourself a grand grand time :-)

EARTHDANCE NAIROBI 2015

Earthdance Fans oyeeee!!!! 2015 Edition is here....

Hosted by Earthdance Nairobi and 6:AM Entertainment, this year features three stages, curated by three established Kenyan entertainment houses for your audible pleasure. Along with the great music, we are introducing aBYOB (Bring Your Own Bottle) bar system for the best festival experience this year.

The venue is a new corner of the Ngong Racecourse, which features the Ngong Forest set against a water resevoir. This definitely brings this festival’s true essence to the forefront. It’s about music, in nature, and with peace.

Timo Higgs and Strain are this year’s headlining acts on the Electronic Stage. Timo Higgs is of Polish origin and hones his craft playing the latest electronic music in the U.A.E. Strain is of Kenyan origin and he has established himself in the Cape Town Psytrance scene.


Alongside Kenya’s biggest names in the industry, this is gonna be one hell of a festival!

MORGAN HERITAGE KENYA TOUR

So you must have heard of Morgan Heritage, no? Well at least I'm sure you have if you are as old as I am. Disclaimer: I am not  ancient!!!!

Nway, so these guys are in town this weekend. Incase you are wondering, Morgan  Heritage  is  one  of  the  most  influential  reggae  bands today, formed by  five  children  of  famed  reggae - artist  Denroy Morgan. They are popularly referred to  as "reggae  royalty",  and have produced  the
critically acclaimed  album "Protect Us Jah" (1997), followed  by  "One Calling (1998) , and the spiritually -inclined "Don't Haffi Dread"(1999).

Wanna meet the reggae royalty and you are wondering how? Here are the deets:

GLOBAL MARCH FOR ELEPHANTS AND RHINOS

It's been a minute... I know, I know. And my excuse is pretty stupid so I'll just go with "no excuse whatsoever for my absence, but please forgive me"

As you are thinking about my forgiveness, let's get into what's happening in the month of October :-)

WildlifeDirect, Kenya Wildlife Service and Stand Up Shout Out are delighted to invite you to the Global March for Elephants and Rhinos.

WHEN: Saturday, 3rd October, 2015
WHERE: Nairobi National Museum of Kenya
Time: 8.00 am




This will be a 10 km walk that will be flagged off from the National Museums of Kenya at 8am and move along to the Kenya Wildlife Service via Uhuru Highway and Langata road.

Climaxing with great entertainment at at 1.00 pm.

Come march for elephants and rhinos, and keep fit while at it!

Honestly, this sounds like it's gonna be a super duper fun day! It sounds like a day you wouldn't want to miss. And it also sounds like a worthy cause to spend your 200/= (or more) on! There's going to be loooots of fun and loooots of pizza! Absolutely nothing to regret :-) Happening....

Just because you (or your child) was born with a disability is no excuse not to allow them to have fun. This event is all about celebrating children with disabilities and allowing them to have just as much fun as other children.

Homes for children with disabilities are invited. Parents too are invited. There is also going to be a team of experts on disability issues present on the d-day.

THE ATHI 4x4 CHALLENGE

Lovers of outdoors stuff and all things muddy... This is especially made and posted for you.!

It is an off road 4×4 event held close to Nairobi to raise money for car 45’s entry into the Rhino Charge.

WHEN: Sunday, March 29th 2015
WHERE: Lukenya  Hills, Athi River

Time: From 10.00 a.m.



The 4×4 Stages will include:- Quarry Rally Mud Madness Reversing & Blindfold Water Eruption And much more.

Other activities on the Ranch will be: Fishing on the Dam Demonstration Events Game drives in an 85 year old Ford “A” Food Court & Bar.
